AREA CARS background           

Founded in 2006 by Mark Roberts, AREA CARS' original concept was to provide an old-fashioned village taxi service; customers, knowing the driver, would find it a secure and viable alternative to the not-so-convenient public transport options available locally.

That concept, allied to a Fares Fair policy and a reliable service, has proved to be very popular, and AREA CARS now have numerous regular customers in the villages around Farnham Common - particularly Gerrards Cross, Hedgerley, Fulmer and Stoke Poges.

Extended services                          
AREA CARS offer lots of additional services for your convenience and enjoyment:

- Hampers & Champers Days; turn that day out at Ascot / Goodwood / Windsor into a super special event. Please call Mark to plan your requirements.

- Meet and Greet at Airport Arrivals Gates; this service is available at no extra cost except it does incur airport parking charges.

- Be chaufferred in your own car for a fixed price or at an hourly rate.

- Studio, Film and Media transportation can be provided at a fixed daily rate.

Payments by card                           
All major debit and credit cards are accepted - but please note that there is a per-transaction charge of £1.50.

8-passenger taxi cab                      

A new Vauxhall Vivaro was selected for its comfort levels and roominess. Airport runs for 8 passengers are a breeze - the cavernous boot takes all their luggage with room to spare, while they enjoy the Vivaro's smooth-riding, air-conditioned comfort.

Secure, safe service                       
AREA CARS provides:
- a properly licensed, fully insured   owner/driver
- a modern vehicle maintained to the   highest standards
- full lap and diagonal seatbelts for all   occupants

Fares Fair policy                              
• There is never a charge for getting the   cab to the collection point.
• The minimum fare for any trip is a   modest £5.
• The fare for 5 or more passengers is plus   up to 50% on the standard fare.
• Parking and toll charges, where incurred, are passed on at cost.

Congestion charge                         
From 9th July 2008, the AREA CARS minibus is exempt from the London Congestion charge for a minimum of one year - and hopefully longer!

An added bonus is that using Bus Lanes cuts up to 20 minutes off the journey time to the West End.
